In 1997 the Small Business Administration's Richmond District Office received the "Hammer Award" from Vice President Al Gore, which SBA then gave to Dennis Woodbury.  He was responsible for building the $3.6 million first phase of the Central Fire Station at Langley Air Force Base.  Each year this award is given to those agencies that put customers first, cut red tape, empowers employees and get back to basics.

July 1999 Woodbury Construction Company graduated from the SBA 8(a) program.
